It Started With My Own Problem
Hi, I'm Chloe — the hands behind Clip Up & Glow. What started as a personal mission to find a claw clip that could actually hold my thick hair turned into something so much bigger. A small business built from a simple idea... that thick hair deserves a claw clip that actually works, without having to compromise on how pretty it is.
And if you've ever wondered where the names come from, every clip is named after someone special to me. My family and friends are behind the names of the clips, which makes each one that little bit more personal 🤍
Why Acetate? ✨
Not all hair clips are made equal. I chose natural acetate because it's strong, durable and has such a beautiful depth of colour. Unlike cheaper plastics that can snap or fade, acetate has a lovely feel to it — you notice the difference the moment you pick one up. Our clips are made to be worn again and again, because I wanted to create something that wasn't just pretty, but made to last.

If you've ever snapped a claw clip trying to get it around all your hair, you'll understand. I wanted to create clips that were genuinely big enough for thick, curly and voluminous hair, without having to squeeze everything in and hope for the best. That's why every Clip Up & Glow clip is XL — giving you the space and strength you need for a secure, comfortable hold.
More Than Just Pretty 🤍
I put a lot of thought into every Clip Up & Glow clip — from choosing the acetate to making sure the finished clip is something I'd be happy to put in my own hair. I want every clip you receive to feel strong, well made and actually do the job it's meant to do. Pretty is non-negotiable, but holding your hair is the whole point.
